WOOD BETON ON SITE: the collaboration between wood and concrete.
The “Wood Beton On Site” is the first patent by Wood Beton that allows to build composite timber – concrete slabs, without the use of metal connections.
The connection between the two materials is provided by the cylindrical hole that is created in the factory at the extrados of the timber joist; inside the hole the concrete is poured on site and this creates the necessary structural integration between the joist and the concrete screed. It is then possible to insert between the joist and the concrete, any material that the designer likes, such as timber board, gypsum and so on.
This is not a prefabricated product: for this reason this slab is particularly used and suitable for renovations and in all cases where the geometry and difficult accessibility on site prevent the use of panels pre-assembled in the factory.
